College of Medicine Launch Update

I had a wonderful experience at The House of Commons last week to witness the launch of the College of Medicine. There was not an inch of space available as we were witnessing the birth of a new institution with old fashion values and new ideals. One of the aims of the college is to help those in communities who often struggle to get the right treatment. Kaye Macintosh made a great presentation where he demonstrated much insight into the patients we are trying to reach and help.

 The most inspirational speaker of the day was Professor Aidan Halligan who was speaking on behalf of the homeless faculty. His humility touched the hearts of many in the room and his excitement at being the first college to have a faculty dedicated to the homeless population really made you feel you could be a part of something that could change lives. Only time will tell. I will keep you informed.
